Slow Cooker Candied Pecans

In a small bowl whisk the egg whites and vanilla until very frothy, this may take a minute or two. Set aside.

In a medium-sized bowl, add the sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt, stir until combined. Set aside.

Put the pecans in a large bowl, pour over the eggs white and vanilla mixture. Stir until the pecans are evenly coated. Pour over the sugar mixture and stir until the pecans are coated.

Spray the slow cooker with non-stick spray or coat the bottom and edges with a little oil. Add the sugar coated pecans.

Cover. Set the slow cooker to low temperature. Cook for 3 hours, stirring every 20 minutes.

When the cooking time is done, pour the nuts onto a baking sheet lined with wax or parchment paper. Cool for 30 minutes before storing or packaging into bags. Enjoy!

RECIPE:

Preheat oven to 275F degrees and prepare a baking sheet by lining with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

In a medium sized bowl, whisk the egg white until it becomes frothy.

Add the pecans, granulated sugar, cinnamon and salt. Stir together until well coated.

With a slotted spoon, scoop the coated nuts out of the bowl and spread evenly apart on the baking sheet.

Bake for 45 minutes, stirring around every 15 minutes.

Line a plate or baking tray with parchment paper.

Combine brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in a skillet.  Add water and cook over medium heat (2 minutes) until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is bubbling.

Add the pecans and while stir until coated in the sugar glaze.  Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Remove from heat and spread the pecans out evenly onto the parchment paper. Let cool completely.

These easy delicious candied pecans with a hit of spice are perfect for salads, snacking and more!

Add the brown sugar, spices and salt to a large pan. Pour in water and gently mix.

Place pan over medium-high heat and cook until mixture boils.

Add pecans and mix to cover completely. Cover and cook for about a minute or until the mixture thickens up and darkens in color.

QUICKLY begin transferring the pecans to a sheet or parchment paper or silicone mat using forks to separate them. The residual heat in the pan will keep the pecans from setting right away but you do need to work with speed.

Easy Candied Pecans

These Candied Pecans are the perfect sweet and salty snack. They're great on their own, on salads, in cookies, or as a garnish to your favorite chicken dish!

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add in the pecans and stir continuously for 3 minutes, to lightly toast the pecans.

Add in the brown sugar, and stir for an additional 2 minutes to melt the sugar.

Stir in the cinnamon and salt, and add the water.

Cook, stir continuously, until the water is evaporated, 1-2 minutes.

Remove from the heat and spread evenly on the baking sheet.

Bake for 5-7 minutes, until fragrant and lightly crisp.

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet.

Candied Bourbon Pecans are salty, sweet, and just a little bit spicy. The taste of bourbon is very subtle but it gives these pecans the perfect amount of something extra to make them so delicious and addicting.

Preheat oven to 350°F (and take out anything that you store in it.)

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together bourbon, vanilla extract, and the egg white until the egg white is a little bit frothy.

Mix in pecans and be sure they are fully coated in the egg/bourbon mixture.

In a separate bowl, combine sugar, cayenne, and salt.

Combine the sugar mixture with the pecan/egg/bourbon mixture and make sure that the pecans are fully coated with sugar.

Spread the pecans out onto a lined baking sheet.

Now, this is important - drop the temperature of the oven to 250°F - then bake the pecans for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, stir the pecans, then set them back in the oven for 10 more minutes.

Stir the pecans one more time and cook for 10 more minutes (for a total of 30 minutes.) You will notice the pecans will start off wet and sticky and will gradually dry out a little and the sugar will crystallize.

After the 30 minutes is up, the pecans should be almost all crystallized-looking (see photos for a better idea of what this means.) Basically, the sugar will lighten up and get nice and crunchy.

Let the pecans cool, then either serve them immediately or move them to an air-tight container for storage.

Toast pecans in a pan over medium low heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

In a small bowl, mix maple syrup, brown sugar, and salt together.

Pour syrup mixture into pan and stir to coat pecans.

Cook over medium low heat until all of the liquid starts to crystalize and is absorbed.

Remove from heat, pour onto prepared baking sheet, separate nuts so they do not stick together and let cool.
