Honey Mustard Garlic Shrimp

In a small bowl, combine honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic and stir to combine.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil on medium high heat.  Add shrimp, sprinkle with salt, and cook it on one side, without flipping, on medium-high heat for about 30 seconds.

Flip the shrimp to the other side. Add the sauce from step 1 and chopped green onion to the skillet and cook shrimp for about 1 more minute, in the sauce, on medium high heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.

Serve as is, or with blanched or steamed veggies or greens.

I would use a little less lemon then called for. So half a lemon instead of a full one because mine ended up a little too sour but it still good

Very yummy and love the lemon flavor. I used rice noodles to pair with it. Very tasty.

Make this to go with our steaks. I had to cut back on the red pepper flakes. It added too much of a kick with the original amount, but using less makes it more tolerable for those who want a bit of kick but not as much. Cut back a little on the lemon slices too. But it's become our favorite way to make shrimp!

It was very simple to make and tasted quite good! However, I would add a little less lemon to it (or perhaps my lemons were just fairly large). I would also add a little more garlic (then again, maybe my garlic cloves were simply smaller than average.

I've just preapared this recipe for lunch, I followed the recipe exactly except for a scrunch of tumeric and and pepper, fited perfectly with a small bowl of rice.

Love this recipe but instead of red peppers I use a hint of cajan spice. Not quite as hot but a little zip

took longer then 5 minutes to prep but we don't know how long this will take but i have a phd so it doesn't matter.

Season the shrimp with salt and pepper to taste.

Melt butter in a large skillet over high heat.

Add the Chunky Garlic Paste and allow to saute for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the Red Pepper Paste and stir to combine. Immediately add the shrimp and stir to coat in the garlic/red pepper.

Allow the shrimp to cook 2 minutes per side, or until almost cooked through.

Add the lemon juice and white wine and cook on high for 30 seconds.

Add the heavy cream, parmesan, and parsley and stir to combine. Allow to cook for 1 minute and then remove from the heat.

Serve garnished with lemon wedges or serve over pasta for a full meal.

My mother-in-law's gambas al ajillo recipe is one of Spain's best. Piping hot garlic shrimp, smothered in olive oil with a slightly spicy kick!

Gambas al Ajillo Recipe (Spanish Garlic Shrimp)

Extra virgin olive oil (Spanish brands preferred!)

My mother-in-law makes these in individual sized clay dishes (cazuelitas) that you can put directly on the stove to cook in. Here I'll assume most will make the dish in one large pan and then plate separately.

If the shrimp haven't been shelled, remove the shells

Completely cover the bottom of a large frying pan with olive oil and slowly heat along with the garlic and cayenne pepper pods.

When the garlic begins to sizzle add the shrimp and sauté a moment.

Once everything starts to sizzle again, add a splash of sherry and a sprinkle of salt.

Simmer for about a minute until the shrimp are cooked through (don't overcook!)

Remove from the heat and divide into four servings.

Top each serving with a touch of butter, and give it a quick stir before serving.

Tasty. Came together fast. I used 1/4 cup olive oil for the marinade. It was plenty.

Followed the instructions exactly including marinating for 15+ minutes and the  shrimp looked nothing like what was pictured.  Shrimp was still good, but I expected something different.

This Mojo Shrimp Will Really Get You Going!

Recipe video above. Hands down, my favourite way to cook fresh prawns! Simple and fabulous, the 3 tips for top notch garlic prawns is to chop rather than use a mincer for the garlic (it splatters and burns on high heat), only marinate for 20 minutes and the splash of wine gives this a flavour edge as well as stopping the garlic from burning. Serves 2 as a main, 4 as a starter.

Garlic Prawns (Shrimp!)

garlic (, finely chopped (don't use crusher/mincer))

tbsp extra virgin olive oil ((separated))

tsp black pepper

tsp salt

dry white wine ((Note 3))

tbsp parsley, finely chopped ((garnish))

Marinade: Place the prawns, garlic, olive oil and pepper in bowl. Gently toss then set aside for 20 minutes.

Salt: Add salt into prawns just before cooking and toss.

Sear in batches: Heat oil and about 1/3 of the butter in a large heavy based fry pan over high heat. When the butter is melted, add half the prawns - don&#039;t crowd the pan.

Cook for 1 minute until light golden then turn with tongs. Cook 1 minute then remove onto a plate. Cook the remaining prawns also for 1 minute each side (you shouldn&#039;t need more oil).

Return first batch of prawns back into pan.

Add wine - it will sizzle and be steamy! Stir, scraping the bottom of the pan, until wine mostly evaporates - around 30 seconds.

Butter &amp; lemon: Scatter remaining butter across pan, add lemon juice. After butter melts, stir for 30 seconds, then remove from stove.

Garnish &amp; serve: Transfer to serving plate, sprinkle with parsley and serve with extra lemon wedges. Bread for mopping is essential - try this simple Crusty Artisan Bread!

Cooking

An easy one skillet stir fry recipe with shrimp, red peppers, onions, broccoli, snow peas and a salty sweet garlic ginger Asian sauce.  Serve over rice or zucchini noodles for a complete meal.

Easy Shrimp Stir Fry

chicken broth

soy sauce

rice vinegar

sesame oil

sriracha sauce

red pepper

grated ginger (or ginger paste)

cornstarch

canola oil

Chinese five spice (see notes)

broccoli florets

snow peas

onion

scallions chopped

Peel, remove tails, and devein the shrimp.  Pat the shrimp dry and sprinkle both sides of the shrimp with Chinese Five Spice.

Whisk together the chicken broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sriracha sauce,  honey, crushed red pepper, garlic, ginger and cornstarch.

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large skillet over medium high heat.  Add the onions and broccoli.  Cook for about 1-2 minutes; stirring constantly.  Add the red pepper and snow peas and cook for 1-2 minutes or until crisp tender; stirring constantly.   Plate the veggies.

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in skillet over medium heat.  Add shrimp and cook 1 &#8211; 1 1/2 minutes per side or until cooked through. Plate the shrimp.

Reduce heat to low.  Whisk the sauce one more time.  Add to the pan and cook until slightly thickened.  Add the cooked vegetables and shrimp back to the pan. Stir to combine and warm. Sprinkle with scallions and serve promptly.

Made this tonight and it got thumbs up from my hubby and 11 year old son. I thought maybe it was a little too spicy for my son but he said it was yummy! I made it exactly as written except substituted two carrots for the bell pepper as we don’t love them. Also I thought it was a tad heavy on the ginger so I might reduce that a touch next time but overall a winner. Thank you!

This easy shrimp scampi comes together in 20 minutes for the perfect fancy dinner at home! Make use of the delicious garlic scampi sauce, and serve it over your favorite pasta or even rice.

Easy Shrimp Scampi Recipe

garlic cloves, (minced)

extra virgin olive oil

to 1 tsp red pepper flakes, (or more to your liking)

unsalted butter

dry white wine,

parsley, (chopped)

Pat the shrimp dry and put them in a mixing bowl. Add a pinch of kosher salt, half the garlic, and 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil. Toss to combine. Set aside for 15 to 20 minutes (or refrigerate for 30 mins to 1 hour).

In a large cast iron skillet, heat the remaining olive oil over medium-high heat. When the oil starts to shimmer, add the marinated shrimp mixture. Cook the shrimp for about 1 to 1 ½ minutes on each side or until it begins to turn pink. Remove the shrimp and set it aside on a plate (if some of the shrimp is still a little grey, do not worry, it will fully cook through when you put it back in the skillet).

To the skillet, now add the remaining garlic and red pepper flakes and cook briefly until fragrant (careful not to brown the garlic). Add the wine, and lemon juice and cook for a couple minutes until reduced by ½.

Add the butter and cook until melted.

Return the shrimp back to the pan and toss to coat. Allow the shrimp a couple minutes to warm through (and for any grey shrimp to turn pink).

Turn the heat off and add the parlsey and more red pepper flakes if you like. Serve immediately.
