I grew up eating salmon patties and have cooked several different recipes (including my own), but these are, by far, the absolute best salmon patties I’ve had...the search is over!
P.S. I cooked them in the air fryer and they came out great.

This turned out well, a little salty but that's prob my fault (I cut the recipe in half, didn't measure closely). Would add a red bell pepper next time. Served it with avocado slices and spinach, feta, almond salad.

OK, I just made these.  Followed recipe except instead of bread crumbs, I used potato flakes as a binder along with the eggs.  They are delicious.  I also agree, the mustard, dill  & lemon juice make these killer good!

As another user stated she grew up on salmon patties, I did, too. And these are the best I've made. Much to my horror I realized I was out if dill so I did my best and added some onion powder. Now that I taste them, I could have used celery salt. Nonetheless, this recipe is now going to be my go-to. Thank you!

Had been searching for the best recipe for Salmon Patties & found this recipe to be perfect. I used red onions, omitted green peppers & added fresh basil & parsley as I didn't have dill & they were perfect.  Will make them again soon & will try red or yellow peppers & fresh dill.

I made this recipe for the first time today. It reminded me of my mother. When I was young she made Salmon Patties often. I would not have thought to serve them over baby spinach. It was delicious. Thank you for that suggestion.

I just made this for the first time. I used almond flour in place of the panko bread crumbs (same amount), Greek yogurt instead of mayo (same amount), and the onions were eliminated because they don’t agree with my husband or I.  They were delicious. My husband doesn’t even care for salmon, but after only one bite his response was “we can have this again”! I definitely will.

Love the ability to make substitutions. Had no green onions, used regular, had no dill, used parsley. This made for a very tangy tasty bite.  Did roll in cornmeal for crunch. Will be making this again.

These Amazing Salmon Patties Come Together In No Time

These salmon patties are flaky, tender and so flavorful with crisp edges and big bites of flaked salmon. These salmon patties always disappear fast! Serve with homemade tartar sauce!

Salmon Patties Recipe (VIDEO)

salmon filet*

Tbsp Olive oil (divided)

salt

tsp Black pepper (or

yellow onion (1 cup, finely diced)

red bell pepper

Tbsp unsalted butter (divided)

bread crumbs

eggs (lightly beaten)

mayonnaise

Worcestershire sauce

parsley (finely minced)

Preheat Oven to 425˚F. Line rimmed baking sheet with parchment or silicone liner. Place salmon in the center, skin-side-down, drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic salt and black pepper. Bake uncovered for 10-15 min (depending on thickness), or just until cooked through. Remove from oven, cover with foil and rest 10 min. Flake salmon with 2 forks discarding skin and any bones then set aside and cool to room temp.

Heat a medium skillet over medium heat with 1 Tbsp olive oil and 1 Tbsp butter. Add diced onion and bell pepper and saute until golden and softened (7-9 minutes) then remove from heat.

In a large mixing bowl, combined flaked salmon, sautéed pepper and onion, 1 cup bread crumbs, 2 beaten eggs, 3 Tbsp mayonnaise, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp garlic salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper and 1/4 cup chopped parsley. Stir to combine. Form into patties (about a heaping Tablespoonful each) and mold with your hands into 2" wide by 1/3 to 1/2" thick patties.**

In a clean non-stick pan, heat 1 Tbsp oil and 1 Tbsp butter until hot then add salmon patties in a single layer. Saute 3 to 4 min per side or until golden brown and cooked through. If salmon patties brown too fast, reduce heat. Remove finished patties to a paper-towel lined plate and repeat with remaining oil, butter and salmon cakes.

These Low-Carb Salmon Patties have the flavor of the classic salmon patty recipe with none of the fillers. Both recipes are kid-approved and easy to make.&nbsp;

Drain salmon into a bowl, and reserve the liquid.

Remove bones and skin from the salmon.

Add egg, black pepper and salt to the salmon. Mix with your hands until incorporated. The mixture should be slightly wet and sloppy. If too dry, add some salmon broth back to the mixture.

Add butter and olive oil to a skillet; heat over medium heat until butter mixture is sizzling.

Make 4 patties out of salmon mixture; add to the skillet.

Cook on each side 5 to 7 minutes or until golden brown.

Mini Salmon Cakes with Sriracha Lemon Aioli - the perfect appetizer for holiday entertaining!

I've been making these salmon patties for years and years. This is my mother's recipe and my family loves them.

can salmon, undrained

sleeve of saltine crackers (crushed)

cooking oil oil

Heat the oil in a large skillet.  Combine the rest of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.  Using your hands mix the ingredients together and shape into patties.

Place the patties in the hot oil and brown on each side.  Turn the heat down and continue cooking on low for about 20 minutes turning often. Let cook until the patties are brown and crusty.

These salmon patties (also known as salmon cakes) are incredibly moist and flavorful. They're also gluten-free and paleo. I used fresh salmon, but you could use canned salmon as well. Read the notes below for more information.

Salmon Patties (gluten-free, paleo)

olive oil (divided)

onion (finely diced)

red bell pepper (finely diced)

garlic

almond flour

eggs (beaten)

tbsp mayonnaise

parsley (finely chopped)

dill (finely chopped)

salt and pepper

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit.

Drizzle the salmon with a tablespoon of olive oil and generously season with salt and pepper. Cook for 10-13 minutes, or until just cooked through.

While the salmon is cooking, dice the onion and bell pepper and chop the fresh dill and parsley.

Remove the salmon from the oven and cool in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes.

While the salmon is cooling, add one tablespoon of olive oil to a large pan and sauté the onion and bell pepper for 6-8 minutes, or until soft and translucent. Remove from the heat and let cool.

Use your hands to flake the cooled salmon (removing the skin) into a large mixing bowl. Add the cooled onion and bell pepper along with the dill, parsley, mayonnaise, mustard, garlic, almond flour and eggs. Combine all ingredients with your hands until well mixed.

Form the salmon mixture into small patties with your hands and place them to the side.

Heat several tablespoons of olive oil in a large pan on medium heat and cook the salmon patties for 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove the salmon patties to a paper towel lined plate.

Serve the salmon patties with the lemon dill mayonnaise.

Add all ingredients to a small mixing bowl and stir to combine.

Lemon Dill Mayonnaise

Salmon Patties, made from wild caught canned salmon, are an easy to make dinner recipe favorite in our house and are the best I've ever tasted.

Salmon Patties Recipe

Drain salmon and pick out all of the good meat you want to use. I'm sure all of it can be used, but I like to discard any bone and skin because I think its gross. Personal preference.

In a medium sized bowl, combine salmon meat, eggs, green onions, panko bread crumbs, parmesan, and lime juice. Use hands to combine and then form into 8 patties that are no more than one inch thick.

Heat large skillet over medium high heat. Add oil. When oil is hot enough to bubble when a bread crumb gets tossed in, add your salmon patties. Be sure to leave enough room to have a good inch in between each patty, so you may need to cook them in two batches. Cook until golden brown, about 5-10 minutes, then flip and cook until golden brown on other side.

Serve warm. They also taste excellent cold on top of salad.

This Easy Salmon Patty recipe is definitely a keeper. Made with canned salmon and simple ingredients, you’ll want to make it again and again.

Easy Salmon Patties

Place the salmon into a medium mixing bowl, and gently flake with a fork.

Add the rest of the ingredients and mix everything well.

Using a 1/2-cup as a measure, form small patties with your hands.*

IF FRYING: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat (use enough oil to generously cover the bottom of the skillet). Fry the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, until crispy and cooked through.

IF BAKING:  Just drizzle some olive oil onto a large, non-stick cookie sheet, making sure that the surface is evenly covered. Arrange the salmon patties on the sheet and gently brush the tops with some oil. Bake at 425˚F for 15 minutes. Flip, and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes.

Prepare

In a large bowl whisk together flour and cornmeal.

Add salmon, bell peppers, sweet onion, seasonings, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, cilantro and egg. Mix until well combined.

Shape into about 6-8 patties. Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat.

Cook

Once skillet is hot cook patties for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are a golden brown color.

Serve

Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Open can(s) of salmon and drain liquid if desired.

Transfer salmon to a bowl and break into chunks using a fork.

Add all the other ingredients to the bowl, reserving 1/3 of the bread crumbs and 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, and mix gently to combine.

Shape salmon mixture into 4 patties and rub each patty with a bit of mayonnaise and then coat with remaining 1/3 of bread crumbs.

Melt ghee or other cooking fat in a frying pan on medium heat and then place each patty into the frying pan and saute each side for 3 minutes or until the crust is a golden brown.  Serve immediately.

How to Make Salmon Patties - Quick and Easy Salmon Cakes Recipe

Perfectly crisp on the outside and deliciously tender and flaky on the inside! Made with fresh salmon instead of canned and full of flavor. A tempting salmon dinner that&#x27;s sure to impress!Plan on 1 - 2 patties per person depending on how much people love salmon, nutrition estimate is per patty.

lbs skinless salmon

panko bread crumbs, (divided)

Tbsp parsley

green onions, (chopped (1/3 cup))

garlic clove, (minced (1 tsp))

tsp lemon zest, (plus lemon wedges

tsp dijon mustard

tsp old bay seasoning

Salt and black pepper

Tbsp olive oil, (divided)

Using a sharp knife coarsely chop salmon to a sausage like texture (approx. 1/4-inch pieces). This can also be done in a 3 batches in quick bursts in a food processor.

In a large mixing bowl stir together 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs, parsley, green onions, garlic, mayonnaise, lemon zest, dijon mustard, old bay seasoning, egg yolk, 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste) and 1/4 tsp pepper.

Add salmon then toss well to evenly coat with mixture. Scoop mixture 1/3 cup at a time creating 8 equal portions.

Pour remaining 3/4 cup panko into a shallow dish. Press and shape portions into 3-inch patties then coat and gently press into panko, coating both sides.
